Lin Wei , visiting scholar & Ph.D. candidate of University of Science and Technology of China, is running a study in the lab.

Fairness is often used as a critical metric to evaluate the outcomes in negotiations. In risky situations, decision makers often face several independent uncertain prospects- repeated or similar in nature- and have to allocate future (instead of realized) profits between themselves and other partners. In this experiment, Lin tries to understand how the effect of risk aggregation influences the perceptions of fairness and what allocations will be accepted in negotiations.
