-2019 Milstein Family Foundation Monthly Newsletter-
Friends,

Antisemitism is on the rise. Until now, we have been passive and have downplayed the alarming problem. Enough playing the victim and complaining about double standards while we wait on others to fight our battle. All Americans must recognize that racism against Jews is not just a Jewish problem, but an American problem. We need to strategize new methods to combat radical hate and bigotry in America. We need to switch our approach from defense to offense.

In this newsletter, we announce Adam’s upcoming talk at Valley Beth Shalom Synagogue in Encino, CA on March 16, where he will highlight how antisemitism is anti-American and discuss his approach to tackling radical hate once and for all. The event is free to the public. Adam will also speak on April 5 at an invitation-only lunch in Tarzana about the same subject. If you are interested in attending this event, please register here .

Watch Adam's latest speech about the urgency for Americans to proactively fight racism against Jews and other minorities at StandWithUs' Israel in Focus conference on March 3.

We feature Stand By Me, a remarkable organization in Los Angeles that assists Israeli-American cancer patients and their families. Our own co-founder Gila Milstein is the President of this phenomenal organization.

A lso included in the newsletter, a job posting to join our MFF team as a Program Manager. Finally, if you are attending the AIPAC PC this year March 24-26, make sure to register for a panel about how to fight antisemitism moderated by Adam.

With sincere love and admiration for the State of Israel and the Jewish people,

Featured Organization: Stand by Me

"With a warm heart and open arms, Stand By Me is the extended family in support of its brothers and sisters on their road to recovery."

- President, Gila Milstein
Stand by Me is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2009 in order to provide daily support to Israeli-American cancer patients and their families in Los Angeles.

The struggles of the families supported by Stand By Me are indescribable: Having to face cancer while speaking a foreign language, understanding a different culture, dealing with financial hardship, and having little to no family around is unimaginable. Stand By Me steps into the picture and becomes family and makes sure, “No one in our community should face cancer alone.”

Emotional support to individuals and families are given for free in Hebrew by a professional team of psychologists, social workers, nurses, and dedicated volunteers.

As a nonprofit, Stand By Me is dependent on donations. Click here to donate today to enable us to serve to our deserving patients and their families. With your donation, Stand By Me is able to provide services such as transportation to and from treatments, caregiving, cleaning, babysitting, cooking, and more.

AIPAC PC 2019 - Antisemitism as an American Problem and How We Can Band Together to Fight It
If you are attending the AIPAC 2019 PC, please join us at the IAC's Forum - Antisemitism as an American Problem and How We Can Band Together to Fight It.

Sunday, 3/24 at 3:15 PM.

Adam Milstein is moderating the panel including Mr. Elan Carr: Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism , Mr. Ira Forman: Senior Advisor for Combating Antisemitism at Human Rights First, and Dr. Ralph Reed
Founder, Chairman at the Faith & Freedom Coalition.

Racism against Jews is a manifestation of extremism, intolerance and bigotry on both the radical left and far right of the political spectrum. It has spawned violent attacks such as the massacre at the Tree of Life synagogue Pittsburgh. It has also become a staple of reactionary Islamists and elements of the BDS Movement. However, hate and racism is not just a Jewish problem since he dangerous practitioners of antisemitism don’t just hate Jews.

They hate the values that America was built on. And the tactics that they use against Israel and the Jewish People are a direct threat to America. What can be done to unmask today’s haters and unite our communities to stop the spread of this disease? How can all peoples of good will combat antisemitism for the sake of America?

We look forward to seeing you there.
