ANNUAL MEETING AND  VISION GATHERING

Join us for our Annual Meeting and Vision Gathering TONIGHT, Wednesday, October 17, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Seminar Room.  We'll enjoy a delicious dinner together, and then we'll visit about some of the great things God has done over the past year, including an annual church ministry update from our Church Council. You'll also hear about exciting things in store for the coming year and Pastor Larry's heart on some important vision opportunities for 2019 and beyond. 

Every VRBC attender is welcome and encouraged to attend. Dinner and childcare are free, and no RSVP is required--just come!

FAMILY FALL FEST
OCTOBER 28 | 5:00 TO 7:00 PM | MARK YOUR CALENDAR!

Everyone is invited to enjoy a time of fall fun and fellowship for the entire church family! Family Fall Fest is a great church-wide event to invite friends and neighbors to come and meet us  and to build stronger relationships with one another.
 
The festivities begin at 5:00 pm on the north lawn of the church. There will be FREE yummy food, including samosas, grilled cheese, and hot dogs with all the fixin's! We'll have bounce houses and inflatables for the kids, games for  everyone, and much more! Activities will conclude at 7:00 pm.

NOTICE OF VOTE TO REVISE BYLAWS
TOWN HALL MEETING | NOVEMBER 4 | 12:30 PM

To best serve the needs of our ever-changing church family and staff, and in an effort to increase the efficiency and continuity of the Church Council, updating the VRBC Bylaws is necessary. After much prayer, study, and discussion, the Church Council has brought forward proposed revisions for consideration and ratification by the church body.

TOWN HALL MEETING
There will be a Town Hall Meeting on Sunday, November 4, at 12:30 pm in the Conference Room to review the changes proposed and to allow an opportunity for discussion.

CHURCH VOTE ON BYLAWS REVISIONS  
On Sunday, November 25, during the worship services, church members will vote by ballot to ratify the proposed changes to the Bylaws.

PROPOSED 2018-2019 ANNUAL BUDGET
BUDGET VOTE THIS SUNDAY

Pursuant to our church bylaws, after approval by Church Council and the Finance/Human Resources Committee, the proposed 2018-2019 Annual Budget is available for online review at  vrbc.net/finance . WISDOM WARRIORS HYMN SING & LUNCHEON
THURSDAY | NOVEMBER 1 | 11:30 AM TO 1:00 PM

Do you like to sing hymns or know someone who does? Join us for lunch, fellowship, and hymn singing on November 1, from 11:30 to 1:00 in the Seminar Room. Lunch is free but please RSVP to Ann Kelly at   [email protected]   by October 29. We look forward to seeing you there!



CORNERSTONE BOOK DRIVE
NOW THROUGH NOVEMBER 30

Cornerstone, our sister church in South Dallas, would like to add more books to  its mini-library. Books on a variety of topics are needed to lend in the cafeteria  serving its homeless ministry: Bibles (English and Spanish), art, photography,  biographies, history, computer technology, literature, medicine, sports, and  travel, as well as how-to, inspirational, sudoku, puzzle, and sketch books with  pencils.

If you would like to donate new or gently used books, please drop them off on  the front porch of the home of Amy and Jeff Suttle, where a container will be  provided. Please email Amy Suttle at [email protected] for the  address.
