Join Us This Lenten Season
During the upcoming celebrations of Holy Week and the Easter Season we invite you to make it a time of grace and spiritual renewal.
On Palm Sunday, with palms in hand, we will commemorate Our Divine Lord's entrance into Jerusalem.
On Holy Thursday, we celebrate with great joy and gratitude Jesus, our high priest's institution of the sacramental priesthood and the Holy Eucharist, our sacrifice and sacrament, His Body and Blood.
On Good Friday, we join with Christians all over the world as we recall the Passion and Death of Jesus our Savior.
The Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday evening is the only Mass that day and when we happily welcome a new member to our family of faith through the Easter Sacraments.
On Easter Sunday, and throughout the Easter Season, we continue our liturgical celebration of the glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the light that has overcome the darkness of sin and death.
These sacred liturgies offer us special graces and blessings. We hope to see you there.
May your Easter and the Easter Season be a grace-filled and happy one.

Sincerely Yours In Christ,
Father Thomas M. King
Father Anthony R. Brausch

Summer Construction Plans
Parish Pastoral Council has approved several projects to be completed over the summer. They include:
  • New School Entrance
  • Renovations to the Boys Restroom in the Undercroft
  • Preschool Bathroom
The estimated cost of these projects is $275,000. The funds for the construction comes from the Capital Maintenance Account, not operating funds. The Capital Maintenance Account is funded through donations made strictly to capital maintenance projects, insurance claims (ie. awning damage), interest, and designated capital reserves.

new school entrance
The Concession Area in the undercroft will be renovated thanks to funds raised from the 125th Anniversary Celebration along with a donation from Angel Follies; Angel Follies graciously designated a portion of their proceeds for the 2018 performances to adding built-in appliances to this space.

Our preschoolers, by state mandate, also need a separate play area than our older school children. We have been blessed with donors who support the building of a Preschool Playground. We thank the Sohngen family who donated all of the playground equipment in memory of Bill and Dorothy Sohngen and A&A Safety who did all of the site prep, fencing and mulch.
GA Alumni Named King & Queen of McNicholas Mardi Gras
The Annual Mardi Gras Pageant and Ball, the most prestigious student event of the year at Archbishop McNicholas High School, honors 40 senior students who have given their time and talents in service to the school and community throughout their high school experience. Membership on the Court is a result of four years of compiled voting from students and faculty. The top four sophomore and junior young men and women constitute the honor guard. During the ceremonies, a Mardi Gras King and Queen are crowned. The King and Queen are the highest vote getters amongst the senior class.

The 66th Annual Mardi Gras Ball was February 11, 2018, and featured many alums of Guardian Angels School, including the King Mr. Wade Brokamp and Queen Lauren Mindrum. Members of the senior court also featured: Cole Burdick, Kiley Byrne, Jude Gerrard, Luke Guessford, Paul Rammel, and Samuel Veeneman.
In the Honor Guard, the Class of 2020 was represented by GA alums Ian Burt, Aidan Guessford, and Jillian Vogler.
The Class of 2019 featured GA alums Emily Byrne, Mark Dill, Carly Fehr, Bryan Fehr, and Carlie Suttles.
Other Upcoming Events
Informational Coffee at Guardian Angels School
Stop by our informational coffee to determine if Guardian Angels School is a good fit for your family. During this event, you will meet the administration, take a tour of the school, and have an opportunity to ask other parents questions about the community you'll find and the education your child will receive here. The event on February 28th at 9:00am is specifically for families who are considering enrolling children in Guardian Angels School. Our school offers a Catholic education for preschool through 8th grade.
If you plan to attend, you can RSVP to Tiffany Strah by February 25th.
40 Days For Life
Are you able to volunteer 1 hour to pray in front of the abortion facility in Mt. Auburn? Over the past years, Guardian Angels parishioners have volunteered to cover two of the 40 Days for Life where we have someone continually praying from 7:00am to 7:00pm at Planned Parenthood's abortion facility. Many of our working parishioners try to cover our early and late hours and those available during the day may fill the hours in between.
Please consider joining us as many of our "regulars" can no longer participate mainly for health reasons.  Sign up online  or on the bulletin boards in the gathering space. The GA dates are Wednesday, February 14th and Wednesday, March 21st . If you have questions or any problems signing up, email   Luann Rowekamp
