Important Letter from Mr. Hansen, BCHS Principal
Dear Parents: St. Patrick’s Day is quickly approaching. This year, many St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are being held on Friday, March 15. If your family has traditionally participated in St. Patrick’s Day activities, or if your son/daughter is part of an organization that has marched in the parade, Bishop Chatard High School will consider this an excused absence as long as the proper school form is filled out 48 hours prior to participating. Community Service Day - Volunteers Needed
Bishop Chatard is looking for volunteers for Community Service Day, the morning of March 22. Anyone interested must be Safe and Sacred trained. Bishop Chatard Girls Soccer Call-Out Meeting
March 12 ~ 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in BCHS Cafeteria
All current and interested girls soccer players and parents are encouraged to attend. At this meeting, summer conditioning, schedules, camp info and other important information will be covered.

College Coffee for Freshman & Sophomore Parents
Freshman and sophomore family members are invited to a brief College Coffee info session on Wed., March 20, from 8 - 8:30 a.m. in the cafeteria. Greater Indianapolis Northside College Fair
On Wed., March 13, students have an opportunity to take advantage of the Greater Indianapolis Northside College Fair to be held at the Grand Park Events Center from 6 - 8 p.m. To read more about the event, view this website. Students are encouraged to register in advance.

Class of 2019 Admit Letters
Class of 2019 students are asked to bring in their college admit letters and financial aid awards to Mrs. Alerding or Mrs. Nixon as soon as possible. This information is used for school data, Honors Night recognition, the senior page of the website, and the display in the hallway. Papers can be brought to Room 213 or screenshots of your admission and financial aid online portals can be emailed to  aalerding@bishopchatard.org  or  pnixon@bishopchatard.org .
Crittenden Avenue Road Closure
March 28
Crittenden Ave. will be closed from 12:15 - 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, for Christ the King School's annual "Tiger Trot" walk-a-thon. BCHS has an early dismissal at 1:40 p.m. that day, so students can be picked up in our parking lot. Pick-up will be available on Crittenden Ave. after 2:15 p.m. Thank you for accommodating this important CKS fundraising event.
Trivia Night
April 13
Trivia players 21 and over are invited to Trivia Night, Trojan style. Registration is now open for Be A Good Sport , Bishop Chatard Trivia Night, being held on Sat., April. 13! Tickets are $30 per person or $240 to reserve your table of eight, $300 for a table of ten. Cost of admission includes beer, soda and water, and a night full of trivia with friends! 2019 Driver Education Registration
Bishop Chatard will be offering Driver Education this summer. The 2019 Summer Driver's Education Course at Bishop Chatard is a state-certified course open to all students who are at least 15 years of age by June 1, 2019. The cost is $400, which includes both the classroom session and the in-car driving sessions.

Registration for eligible BCHS students is now open. Use this link to register. Non-BCHS students are eligible to register beginning April 1.
New Summer Camp Options!
Check out the new summer camp options at BCHS! A second cooking camp has been added and check out the new two-week "Creating with Clay" camp!

Girls Go CyberStart competition
Hoosier high school girls interested in cyber security and other related fields are encouraged to participate in the  Girls Go CyberStart  competition that returns to Indiana for the second year. This is a great opportunity for female high school students to explore the many learning and career opportunities in cyber fields. Last year, 400 Indiana girls participated, and this year's competition is expected to be even larger!

Girls Go CyberStart  centers on a fun and thought-provoking game to inspire young women to test their aptitude in cyber skills. Previous experience in computer science or cybersecurity related programs is not required. Register here!
Good News to Share
Two seniors named National Merit Finalists
Congratulations to Steven Good and Simon Didat, awarded the honor of National Merit Finalist this week. These seniors achieved this honor by scoring in the top 1% of all students nationwide who took the PSAT. 
Congratulations BCHS Spanish Students
BCHS Spanish students competed in the AATSP (American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese) Concurso Académico at Southport High School last Saturday. They maintained their first place standing for Spanish level 1 in the state. Read more here!
