Summer Program

We are happy to announce that we will offer a summer program during the 2019 summer!
Enrollment will be first offered to current students and their siblings. Enrollment will be limited to the first 24 registered students. After the 24 spaces have been filled and if there is enough interest, we will open an additional 12 spaces.

The summer program hours will be the same as the current school hours including extended day options. There will be NO hot lunch offered. Entrance to the school during the summer will be limited to the extended day door only.
The summer agenda will include: arts and crafts, enrichment activities, daily reading opportunities, cooking, daily gym time and much more.

Reserve a space for your child(ren) by completing the Summer Enrollment Choice Form and returning it to the office with a $50 non-refundable registration fee per family by 5/3/19.  This fee will reserve enrollment and will also be credited toward your tuition for the summer.   Registration/Emergency Contact forms, a current physical and immunization records will be due at this time as well.

Forms are located in the office and in the extended day room upstairs.

Illness and when to keep your child home

If you follow the news you will notice that some area schools have closed due to illness.  We are not at that point and want to keep our school as healthy as possible.  With Influenza type A, Strep throat and Norovirus making the rounds, please be sure to keep your child home until he/she is symptom free (without the help of medication) from vomiting, fever or diarrhea  for a full 24 hours.  If your child is sent home mid-day from school, the student may not return until the above criteria is met.  We can only keep our school healthy if all families abide by these policies.

Today, Please meet the Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Anne Hankenhof from Regina Coeli

Hello! My name is Mrs. Anne Hankenhof, and I have been blessed to be part of the Regina Coeli School Family for the past 35 years.

I attended the University of Toledo, where I received a Bachelor's degree in both Elementary and Special Education.   I am married and have 3 grown children, who I am proud to say all graduated from Regina Coeli!   Teaching has been, and continues to be, my passion and a joy like no other! Each day brings new discoveries and challenges.  I am thankful for the opportunity to work in a nurturing, loving environment where my students can learn and begin to develop a deep sense of faith.

Preparing for Kindergarten

 1. Practice blending sounds into words. Ask, "Can you guess what this word is?     m-o-p." Hold each sound longer than normal.

 2.  Sing songs, read rhyming books, and say silly tongue twisters. These help kids become sensitive to the sounds in words.
 3.  Ask your child to talk about his day at school. Encourage him/her to explain something they did or about a game he/she played during recess.
 4.  Connect what your child reads with what happens in life. If reading a book about animals, relate it to your last trip to the zoo.

We will be adding the following days to our schedule to make up for some snow days and delays.
3/21 all day
4/16 all day
4/17 dismiss at 11. No PM ext day.

If you are interested in reserving a spot in our school for next year, here are the registration fee deadlines:
Fee increases to $75                2/23-3/31
Full registration fee $100         4/1-4/12

After 4/12, all spots will be open to any new student enrolling.

A student is considered registered when both the registration form and registration fee has been paid.

If you are utilizing the ODE Early Childhood Education Grant or Publicly Funded Child Care Benefits (JFS) to pay for tuition, please contact the office for registration fee cost.
