AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE DEMOS
Photo: The latest in autonomous vehicles was showcased at the Florida Automated Vehicle Summit in Tampa. The Summit is moving to Miami in 2019, and CFX is proud to host the summit here in Central Florida in 2020.

CFX worked with agencies throughout the state of Florida as part of the Planning Committee for the Florida Automated Vehicle Summit in Tampa on November 27 and 28.
The summit featured experts in the field of automated, connected, electric and shared mobility, known as “ACES,” with presentations on everything from preparing for connected vehicle deployment to retrofitting existing infrastructure with the technology needed to bring the future of transportation to life. Demonstrations highlighted trends in micro-mobility (scooters!), platooning, automated transit and more.

At its December board meeting, the CFX board approved transitioning the operation and management of the Poinciana Parkway, also known as Florida State Road 538, from the Osceola County Expressway Authority to CFX. The transfer goes into effect December 31, 2018.

Dial *FHP (347) and ask for Road Ranger assistance. Road Rangers hours will be extending to 10 p.m. beginning January 15th, 2019.
IN THE COMMUNITY
CFX was one of the sponsors of Jingle Jam, a free concert, in downtown Orlando on December 8th benefiting the Orlando Fisher House – helping military families with a home away from home.
Look for the E-PASS / KnightPass tent one last time near the ice-skating rink at Light Up UCF at the CFE Arena on December 22 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. The annual holiday festival runs until Tuesday, January 1.
Collecting holiday gifts for children and teens in our community has been a long-standing tradition at CFX. This holiday, we continued the tradition and collected gifts under the tree in the lobby of CFX Headquarters for Toys for Tots.
