Welcome to the SLP Communicator
The SLP Communicator is a District publication for all stakeholders invested in actualizing the mission of St. Louis Park Public Schools. This e-newsletter will be published on Wednesdays when school is in-session to all parents and guardians of students attending St. Louis Park Public Schools. Other stakeholders who wish to be added to the distribution list should email Matt Thomas, Communications Specialist, at thomas.matthew@slpschools.org. The SLP Communicator will also be available for viewing and download from the school district website at www.slpschools.org/slpcommunicator. September 14: Distance Learning Begins for Kindergarten

September 14: Early Learning Family Engagement via Distance Learning

*September 28: Hybrid Learning is scheduled to begin for students in Grades K-2

*October 5: Hybrid Learning for students in Grades E-12

*The school district will continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 in Hennepin County, in consultation with the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), and recommend adjustments to the learning model in the best interests of student and staff safety.
District Offers FREE Childcare for Children of COVID-19 Tier 1
Critical Workers; Registration Now Open for Fall 2020
St. Louis Park Public Schools will offer free childcare for Children of COVID-19 Tier 1 Critical Workers. Click on the links below for more information about the program and how to register:

Return to School Guide
The District released its Return to School Guide to families on August 14. This guide contains important information about the three potential learning models (distance, hybrid and in-person), health and safety guidelines and protocols, and other general information on a variety of topics including transportation, school nutrition, childcare, arts, athletics, and much more! Click here to download a PDF version of this document.

This document will be updated frequently and will be maintained on the district website at www.slpschools.org/covid19.
New for 2020-21 School Year! Family Tech Help Website
The NEW St. Louis Park Schools Family Tech Help site is located at https://slpfamilytechhelp.blogspot.com/. Please look here for solutions to common technical problems that you may have with a student device. If you are in need of additional, specific assistance, you can email a technician at familytechhelp@slpschools.org or leave a message at 952-928-6056. In both cases please state the student name, school, grade, and provide device info, and contact phone or email. Both of these methods are checked on a regular basis during the school day from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Any calls or emails made after 4:00 p.m. will be received and returned the next school day after 7:30 a.m.
