Nu Sass Productions presents: The Veil

A play in which a female Marine returns home from deployment in Afghanistan to begin planning her wedding. While being tormented by her controlling sister and mother, she fights against the ghosts she's returned with from her experience overseas. Written By: Hope Villanueva Directed By: Angela Kay Pirko.

Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Birthday Celebration

Celebrate the bicentennial of Frederick Douglass's birth with the National Park Service and its community partners . There will be community lectures, dramatic performances, hands-on kids activities and musical performances. Programs and events are being held at the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site and the Anacostia Arts Center.

All The Way Live Tuesdays! featuring RNL

Known for his cocksure homilies, RNL's musical talents were cultivated in Southeast DC. A third generation Washingtonian RNL's music reflects stories from his city. Inspired by his late uncle who was a gifted drummer and encouraged by his older brother Sean, RNL's path to hip-hop began as a critical listener and student. At Duke Ellington School of the Arts his destiny manifested on paper and in practice with fellow creatives that would incubate one of his natural gifts - improvisation. RNL is a skilled MC, part of the Delegation Music crew.

The Tarot Reading

The Tarot Reading is a variety show like none other. A group of eclectic artists create singular acts for one yet many, each inspired by a card of the Tarot. Each act is interactive, performed for and with one adventurous (consenting) audience member. Part vaudeville, part carnival sideshow, part mystical ritual.

Film Screening and Discussion with Jenna North

North is a Washington, DC based interdisciplinary artist, professor and curator who considers the vast majority of her work to function as social aesthetics. Her work is driven by a deep concern for environmental issues, and she often collaborates with a wide range of scientists and artists for public projects and her own work.

RAM Creates is his full service graphic design and branding firm based in the DMV. His mastery of graphic art and traditional art sets him apart as a creative leader in our community. Come celebrate his artistry on opening night. Everything kicks off at 6:30 PM.
