We wish you and your family Happy Holidays!
EndofYearAppealBecause of YOU!
Thanks to your generous support in the past, we were able to provide early intervention services for vulnerable families, with 93% of parents/guardians reporting improved relationships with their children. We provided quality after school programming for our youth, with 80% improving their academics. We worked so that 47 low-income families could purchase their first home. The list goes on. Your dollars were utilized for services that made a direct impact on Spokane County residents.

We're proud of what we've accomplished together, but there is still more work to be done. As a community we have come together to improve graduation rates for our youth. Where there has been great success with increasing our graduation rates, the data tells us that 78% of low-income students graduate from high school, while their more affluent peers have a 95% graduation rate. This educational gap is greater for minority students. We know that a high school degree is the first step towards financial stability. Our work to decrease the educational gap is a year-round effort. These efforts support students in school and during out of school time with a variety of services. Time like the holiday break.
This holiday break, kindergarten through second grade students at Shiloh Hills Elementary will go home with a backpack filled with literacy games
and three new books.

Thank you Guardian for your support of the Holiday Book Fair program and your volunteerism with students at Shiloh Hills and Chattaroy Elementary!

Since 2015, students at Shiloh Hills Elementary have received over 2,200 new books for the holiday break. English Language Learners have received books in their native language to better share reading moments with their parents. Thirteen different languages are represented in kindergarten through second grade, and one out of seven students at Shiloh Hills speaks a language other than English at home.
Will you join us in creating more stories like this one by making your holiday gift today?

Sincerely,
