Graduate Pathways-Manage Your Career
The Graduate School's Pathways framework—Set Your Goals, Become an Expert, Manage Your Career, Communicate and Lead and Engage, Thrive and Connect— provides a way to map out and set goals for your academic, personal and professional development while at Maryland.
Preparing for your future career should be a priority from the very beginning of your graduate program or postdoc experience.
The Graduate School's Office of Academic and Professional Development collaborates with academic and campus units to empower all PhD students and postdocs with the career and professional development knowledge and skills needed to pursue personally meaningful and satisfying careers in academia, industry, government, nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurial ventures.
