International Banquet Celebrates Student Cultures
This year’s International Banquet once again delighted students, staff, and members of the Board of Trustees. On Friday, September 28 the annual event featured hand-made food from international family recipes, traditional costumes, and music and performances that honored the 12 countries represented in this year’s student body. The Sophomores’ decorations enhanced the festive atmosphere, and provided for many a photo opportunity.

Fall Festival Welcomes Kingsville Community
What better way to interact with our Kingsville community than to invite them to our campus for fun? On Friday, October 19, our costumed students both led and enjoyed the entertainment for the 13th year in row, playing games with visiting children, dancing, and, of course passing out candy. Fall Festival is not only our students’ biggest fund raiser of the year, it has become an autumn tradition that connects our international students with their in-town neighbors.
FPC Georgetown Hosts Boys' Soccer Team
On the eve of their State Semi-Finals match vs. Round Rock Concordia, our friends at First Presbyterian Church in Georgetown, TX extended the hand of welcome to our boys’ soccer team. Long-time PPAS volunteer Minta McIntosh and FPC members took great care of both players and coaches with good food, comfortable places to sleep, and a celebratory reception honoring their strong season. Some FPCG folk even attended the match and cheered on the Eagles, who came up one goal short in the hard-fought competition. A special shout out goes to Kyle, a FPCG youth who has participated in two mission trips to PPAS' campus. A student at Round Rock Concordia, he went to the match, and supported both his classmates and PPAS.

Homecoming 2018 - Pan Am Style
Spirit Competition
What would a high school fall semester be without Homecoming? Thanks to our hard-working cheerleaders and their sponsor, Mrs. Yvonne Garza, Pan Am students don't miss out on this staple American experience for kids grades 9-12. October 11th was the perfect day for PPAS' annual Homecoming celebration, complete with a pep rally in the morning and a senior blessing and bonfire in the evening. Eagle Cheerleaders performed a dance and led the students in a spirit competition, and athletes from volleyball, cross-country, and boys' soccer were recognized. The juniors won the spirit competition for the third year in a row, and for the crowing moment, the 2018 Homecoming Court was announced, with seniors David Araujo and Allison Cabanzo taking home the "King and Queen" honors.

Save the Date! PPAS' 3rd #GivingTuesday Campaign
Mark your calendars for the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which has become known as #GivingTuesday. PPAS is participating in this global day of giving and collaboration for the 3rd year in a row on November 27, 2018. This online and social media-powered philanthropic event seeks to balance the widely-recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and focuses on folks’ generosity of their holiday and end-of-year giving.

Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 to fund student athletics. We are proud that over 75% of our students participate in one or more athletic event, some who are participating in an organized sport for the very first time. Eagle athletes not only benefit from physical activity, but they also learn the value of teamwork that broadens and enhances their Pan Am experience. Stay tuned for more details, and please share our social media posts through your own accounts.
