  Istanbul Cultural Center is proud to announce the return of the Turkish Food Festival! 
We were so overwhelmed by the positive reception of our Spring festival that we couldn't wait to host another. 
We are dedicated to making our Fall festival bigger and better with even more food than before! Not only will there be more food, but more culture and more fun! 
 
Save the date of October 21st and join us at Greenville Technical College's Barton Campus at 506 S Pleasantburg Drive for a day of fun, food and culture!
 
We will be sending out a list of all food items soon with pictures, just to get your mouth watering!

American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery Program 
 
W e are looking for volunteers ages 18-85 with a current driver's license, automobile insurance, a good driving record and access to a safe, reliable vehicle.
 
Training is done on-line with easy to understand videos. Scheduling is done through an easy-to-use online program that you can adjust for what days, what hours, and far you wish to drive. It's very flexible.
 
If anyone wishes to volunteer they may call our 1-800 number: 1-800-227-2345.
 
Along with free rides to treatment, we offer free lodging if they have to go out of town for treatment and a 24-hour/7 day a week hot-line with trained cancer specialist  that anyone can use to ask cancer-related questions, ask for resources or support. You can find more information about these services on the document posted up in the Narthex and in the Secretary's office.

THANK YOU to all of you who gave generously to our pleas for donations when our closet was bare. Thanks to you, our closet is now full which means we have food for about 4 weeks. When the staff at Hickory Tavern asked if we could take additional children, you responded with a resounding
YES! We are grateful, the school is grateful, and these children are grateful. Thank you!

We are currently providing weekend food bags for 36 children. This means our weekly needs requires 36 juice boxes/pouches * 72 breakfast items * 36 fruit cups
* 36 applesauce cups * 36 veggie cups * 36 ramen noodle packets * 36 mac & cheese cups * 72 additional entrees * 108healthy snacks per week.

Yes, our closet is currently full, but 504 items are delivered each week. Please continue to keep the closet full by purchasing what you can. There's a list of needed items in the pew rack.Please take one. There's a wagon in the Reception Hall to collect your donations. A "Wish List"has also been set up on Amazon. Monetary donations are also accepted. Please make checks payable to Holy Cross and put "Power PACKs" in the memo line. Thank you so much for your support.

We have just two weeks left and we expect them to be busy! Your help is greatly needed to insure the success of Holy Cross' biggest annual outreach effort. 
 
Cashiers
We need folks to check people out. It's easy to do with experienced people there to help you learn the ropes.

Goodwill Ambassadors
We need folks to smile and welcome our customers and to explain how and where they can determine the cost of their chosen pumpkins. This help is especially needed during weekend hours when cashiers are extra busy. 
 
Take Down Volunteers
We need volunteers to help take down the Pumpkin Patch on Thursday 11/1 from 8:30-10am. Please meet at Vaughn's, bring work gloves, and help us finish off the season. Questions? Contact Tom Jones.

Teen Confirmation Class:
Started on Sunday, September 9 in the Meeting Hall  (the small red brick building on the back of the church property next to the pavilion.)
