A lot of progress has been made on the Oakland Rd project over the last few weeks and will continue as we approach the end of the construction season.  Asphalt placement is complete between H Ave and 29th St. A full closure for the general traveling public is still in effect between 29th Street and 32nd Street, where contractors are placing new asphalt.  The side streets at O Ave NE are also being replaced over the next few weeks. 

Opening to Two Way Traffic October 31
Coming up on Wednesday, October 31, traffic on Oakland Rd NE between H Ave and 32nd St will be fully open to two-way traffic. Portable message signs will be placed at both ends of Oakland Road prior to the road opening, to help assist in notifying the general public.  You can also sign up for text alerts on road closures/changes on the city's website (www.cityofcr.com/subscribe).  As we get closer to October 31, additional notifications will be sent out with an exact time for the switch in traffic direction.
