Advanced Archery- State Competition Recap
On Saturday, the Arete Prep advanced archers shot in the state meet at the Ben Avery Range. Sophomore Cooper Beuaregard placed third for HS Boys and will advance to the national compeition in Salt Lake City! The team is also waiting to hear on a few other final results, to see if any other archers have qualified for nationals. Congratulations to all of our archers on a great season!
A Special congratulations goes out to Coach George Portillo, who has been named the NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) COACH OF THE YEAR! We are so appreciative of all of the time and effort Coach Portillo puts into our program. From teaching the archers at a high level, to coordinating transportation and meet requirements, Coach always goes above and beyond to make Archery a great experience for our student athletes. Congratulations Coach Portillo- well deserved!
