Greetings!

We wish to ensure that students understand where to manage their student account and understand all charges, including the International Student Fee.  Please read below for some helpful information!
Today's Tip: Student Account Management

Steps to Manage Your Student Account

You can pay your student account via Testudo.  Below are the steps to view your account and process payment.

First go to the following website for the bursar.  https://bursar.umd.edu 
Then you will see the following screen.



Click the View Your Monthly Bill towards the top of the page and a separate tab will pop-up with the following screen.



Enter Your Directory ID and Password and it will bring up the following screen.


Click Student Account Inquiry (third option from the top) to find out how much you owe and leave that tab open.



Go back to the Bursar tab and click the Pay Online Herewhich brings up the following screen in a separate tab.
This is where you will input your University ID and other information.  This is also where you will select the amount that you want to pay on your account.  If you wish to pay the full amount of your account, make sure the number you input here matches the total account balance on your student account inquiry page. 

The final step is to input your method of payment.  Be aware there is a 2% processing fee for credit or debit cards.  You are not charged this fee for transfer payments from checking or savings accounts.  When everything is input click submit. 
In two or three days, your payment should show up in your student account inquiry page.  

Fee Announcement

The International Student Scholar Services looks forward to welcoming you this fall.  We pride ourselves in providing comprehensive services unique to international students and we encourage you to take full advantage of these services.  In order to expand the ways in which we support you, the University recently approved a $125 per semester fee for all newly admitted international students beginning Fall 2017. If your program schedule is on the 12 week calendar, then the fee is $62.50 per term.  This will be used for such areas as orientation programming, academic support services across campus, and advanced technology.  We value the continuous feedback we receive from our international students and look forward to hearing from you about ways we can better serve you.


You may have already paid your account.  Please note that some fees will not appear on your account until later in August.  Even if you have already paid your student account please remember to login in during August and review any new charges. It is always to your advantage to pay your account charges promptly as this will avoid any late payment charges.

If you do not intend to enroll at UMD and would like to stop receiving these emails, please inform the admissions office (undergraduate students) or the Graduate School and your academic department (graduate students).
