G reeting shoppers are from left, Betsy Klausing, John Smith, the Rev. Beth Rauen Sciaino, Mary Kempen, Leslie Curialle, Greg Canose.

Volunteers from St. Bernard's gathered at ShopRite on Saturday, Dec. 8, to collect donations of food and toiletries for its annual drive to support the needy at Grace's Kitchen in Plainfield. Thanks to the generosity of shoppers, an estimated 22 tons of food items have been collected in the last 17 years that St. Bernard's has held the drive at ShopRite.

Left and below:  Parishioners unpack and sort the bags of food and toiletries collected at ShopRite and prepare to repack them in new canvas bags to be distributed to the needy at Grace's Kitchen in Plainfield.

The food will be delivered to Grace's Kitchen and distributed on Saturday, December 29.
