We asked our five full-time Magistrate Judges to offer advice for attorneys appearing before them in civil and criminal cases. Here is what they said.

With admiration and gratitude, we say goodbye to the Clerk of the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of New York, Kim F. Lefebvre, after nearly 40 years of public service, and welcome Bankruptcy Court Clerk Cynthia Platt (pictured here) and Deputy Clerk Dawn Simmons.

November 5 – Reception for the Honorable Rosemary S. Pooler, recognizing her 20 years of service on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, 5 to 7 p.m. at Citronelle, 113 Walton Street, Syracuse.

November 15 – Second Annual NDNY Trial ReenactmentRoss v. Central School District No. 1, 6 to 8 p.m. at the U.S. Courthouse in Albany

December 6 – FCBA Annual CLE, Meeting & Dinner, SKY Armory, 351 South Clinton Street, Syracuse
On Monday, August 20, the FCBA held its 14th Annual CLE and Golf Event at the scenic Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse, New York.

At the suggestion of one of my colleagues I signed up for the 2018 Boilermaker in Utica. This was my first Boilermaker. Judge Hurd was appearing for this 37th Boilermaker!!

The Capital Region and Central New York Bankruptcy Bar Associations will host their 23rd annual Bankruptcy Bar and Bench Conference, November 9 to 10, 2018, at the historic Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York.
