Annual  Planning Meeting - You're Invited
The board will be holding our annual planning meeting on Saturday, January 27, 2018.  We would like to invite anyone who is interested in volunteering with the chapter to join us.  During this afternoon meeting we will be discussing possible upcoming educational events, legislative day, upcoming legislation, and determining the direction of the chapter for 2018.  If you are interested in participating please send an email to Sabrina at [email protected]


Legislative Day Chair Massage Event
Thursday, February 8th, 2018 from 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Maryland Legislative Day is our chance to make a great impression, show support, and provide legislators and their aides seated massage. We are also introducing legislation to clear up some confusion between RMP and LMT and this event allows us the opportunity to gain support for our bill.

We hope you will plan on joining us!


The American Massage Therapy Association ( AMTA) is the largest non-profit, professional association serving massage therapists, massage students and massage schools.





AMTA provides our members with the strongest benefits in the profession. We promote massage to the public, the health care community and other important groups. We work for fair licensing of massage in all states, and actively support research. Your voice is heard in AMTA as we are governed by massage therapists. And, we provide a wealth of local and national networking and continuing education opportunities.

2018 Educational Opportunities
Lymphatic Drainage at CCBC

If you missed the last lyphatic Drainage class never fear another is right around the corner. The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) will be hosting Chikly's LDT1: Lypmphatic Pathways Anatomical Integrity. Contact them directly for more information and registration.


State Conference and Annual Meeting April 21st and 22nd - Save the Date
AMTA Maryland will be hosting our annual meeting along with a weekend conference.  This two day event will offer 15.5 hours of continuing education. 

We will Start on Saturday with 8.5 hours in Sports massage.  This class will count toward the NCBTMB Specialty Sports Certificate.  

On Sunday we will offer the 7 required hours ( 3 hrs ethics, 3 hours HIV/ Communicable diseases. 1 hour cultural diversity for Maryland renewal.

Our Maryland Chapter
As a member-driven organization, your involvement is what will help make the chapter successful, mindful, creative, and fun!  

The Maryland Chapter offers local-level events, CE classes, and opportunities for you to get involved.  Visit an upcoming networking event for a relaxed opportunity to gather with fellow therapists and "talk shop." Take advantage of our CE Class offerings throughout the year. Or, get involved with shaping the Chapter by volunteering your talents on a committee or the chapter board.
