A New Semester Brings New Beginnings
Hello Bengals,

Today’s first day of Fall classes is unlike any other. Each of us enters the semester forever impacted by the events of the last six months, and each of our situations are unique to us as individuals. However, we all have one thing in common as we start classes today. We are all here because we know the value of education.

For all of our returning students, I know that last semester and summer were hard. The transition to online-only learning in the spring, the isolation that came with stay-home orders, and the ongoing impact of the pandemic left many of you uncertain about your future. But you are here, and I commend you for making the decision that continuing your education is the right path for your future.

And to our new Bengals, welcome to the Idaho State family. I commend all of our students for their decision. We are here to support you and help you on the path to a promising future.

This Fall, the value of education may be more pronounced than ever. More education will be necessary as our society adjusts to the needed social changes that are occurring, the economic impact of the pandemic, and the future changes yet to come. You are taking steps toward your future. I am proud to be a part of this University and that this Fall we, together, will continue our mission.
