RFP: Global Change Center Undergraduate Research Grants

The GCC is accepting proposals from undergraduate students and their GCC-affiliated faculty mentor(s) to support undergraduate research that will advance the mission of the GCC. Award requests can range from $250 – $1,000. Deadline is Dec. 15, 2018.

ATTN: Junior Faculty! Jeffress Trust Awards Program in Interdisciplinary Research
The Jeffress Trust Program provides $100,000 awards as seed funding to support one-year pilot studies that encourage the development of innovative interdisciplinary strategies that integrate computational and quantitative scientific strategies across a broad range of scientific disciplines. Faculty that are within seven years of their first faculty appointment are eligible to apply as PIs.

The Notice of Intent internal deadline for VT is Nov. 27, 2018.

Peter Vikesland , Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering, is awarded the Walter J. Weber, Jr. AEESP Frontier in Research Award by the Association of Environmental Engineering & Science Professors Foundation.

The annual award recognizes an environmental engineering or science professor who has advanced the field through recognized research leadership and pioneering efforts in a new and innovative research area.
