Listening Table at St. Paul's  Who should be our next bishop? Please find the listening table at coffee hour after the 9:00 service, this Sunday, October 14. The delegates to the Convention (Weltha McGraw and Joan Stephenson) want to hear your opinions before they go to vote. If necessary there will be a table on Sunday, October 21 too. The election will take place during an abbreviated Diocesan Convention at St. John's Cathedral on Saturday, October 27.

Program is hosting the Sexual Assault Victims' Advocacy Center (SAVA) for an informative discussion of sexual abuse, and we are all invited. Awareness and understanding are the first steps in initiating change! Take the time to learn how you can help.

Potluck Coffee Hour Sunday, October 28 - following both the 8am and 9am services - we will try something new - and have a “Potluck Coffee Hour”. There is no sign up sheet - just bring something if you are inspired and feeling creative! The theme is “Pumpkins and Apples”. Think pumpkin spice, apple spice, or...? Rules are: Finger Foods only (no eating or serving utensils allowed--exception, a knife for spreading-bring one if your dish needs one). Food should be ready to serve (already cut up and on a serving dish) Room temperature foods only (no refrigeration or heat will be available). Take any leftovers home with you (aka clean up after your own serving dish). Small paper plates and napkins will be available. No forks or spoons for eating - let’s keep this simple and easy.

The Choir Needs YOU! Have you considered singing with the St. Paul’s choir? Rumor has it that there are some folks who are interested but they are concerned that they will not be able to come to every rehearsal and/or every service. Guess what… That is perfectly fine! We would love to have you any time you can make it! Rumor has it that there are also some folks who are interested but they are concerned that they don’t read music. Guess what… That is perfectly fine! There are singers in every section who will help you learn your part. Choir meets on Wednesdays at 6:50 pm. If you can’t get there right at 6:50, guess what… that’s ok! We understand that you are busy and have a lot going on. We are so happy when new people come so if you have even a little interest, please, try it out!

Turkey Roundup for the Food Bank Saturday, November 10 at 5:00 PM Sunday, November 11 for each of the services all da y. Bring a "rock hard" frozen turkey, and, right before each of the services, look for the green Mazda pickup in the circle drive in front of the church. Len Russ of Mary of Magdala will be ready to receive your bird. The turkeys will then be given a ride straight to the Food Bank for Larimer County and placed into the big freezer. They will be distributed to our less fortunate neighbors.   (If for any reason your turkey has softened or is no longer frozen, the food bank can not accept it.) This annual event is celebrated at the Food Bank, which will hold its own roundup on November 14th. Last year, Mary of Magdala and Trinity Lutheran together collected 56 turkeys. This year, with St. Paul's contributing, we'll provide even more. A gift of thankfulness for everyone!

Learn About Gift Planning On Oct 24 t h , Tina Kvitek, a regional gift planner for the ELCA, will be at Trinity to talk to our communities about the new tax laws as well as her work with gift planning. She is not selling anything, as her job is to help charitable folks give to the places that they love. The new tax laws impact the giving, so she wants to help us understand things better. She will be in the fellowship hall at 6:30 pm. – Pastor Rick

Sound Healing, Singing Bowls Saturday, October 20 - 10:30 am-12:00 pm in the Sun Room Experience the soothing sound vibrations in a beautiful venue as Betsy Perna plays her Himalayan Bowls. Certified by Atma Buti Sound Healing School in Boulder, Betsy has been practicing ancient Tibetan methods for inducing balanced body rhythms, relaxation and meditation since 2008. Please bring a mat, small blanket and a pillow for under your knees, as needed. If you like, enjoy tea and “Joe’s Cookies,” as we process your experience afterward. It’s great if you can come 15 minutes early to get situated, so that we can start on time! Suggested donation: $7
