Young Lawyers Division Newsletter 
Welcome to our Inaugural edition! The Young Lawyers Division of the Colorado Lawyers Committee is open (without charge) to any lawyer or law student who is under 40 years of age or has been in practice fewer than eight years. The mission of the CLC YLD is to empower passionate young lawyers and law students to make a difference for children and the underserved through education, advocacy, and systemic change.

When you first joined the YLD, you signed up for one of the six YLD teams: Fundraising & Events, Hate Crimes, Legal Night, PR & Membership, Special Projects or Strategic Planning. If you want to know what your team is doing or check out another team, click here. If you decide you want to switch teams or have any questions, email Kathleen McCrohan. Also feel free to reach out any time to your team leaders, if you want to volunteer or get more involved.

... You can volunteer for any of our Colorado Lawyers Committee projects as a YLD Member. Fundraising & Events Team

Lauren Carboni (Dentons) and Tess Hand-Bender (Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP) lead a vibrant group of volunteers through the planning and implementation of several successful fundraising events.
YLD Volunteer Spotlight Claudia Shadler
Claudia Shadler, a 1L student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, began volunteering with CLC in January of 2017. She has attended 21 Legal Nights, and can often be seen translating for Spanish-speaking clients or coordinating Check In. Thank you Claudia!
