Easter Camp Registration Opens in March
|
With two themed days of Easter fun, complete with three outings and activities, Camp Squigadoodle is back for another year! The camp runs from Monday, April 22 to Friday, April 26, and is open to children from Kindergarten to grade six.
Online registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on March 1 and is available only through the Town's Recreation Portal. The cost for the camp is $125 for the one child and $100 for each additional child from the same family. For full details, visit our website! Snow & Ice Brings Community Together
|
Thanks to all of the groups, organizers, and volunteers who made Snow & Ice in Paradise 2019 such a success! The over 30 events included in this year's festival would not have been possible without our great community and festival sponsors. See the full list on our

"Pack the Truck" Community Food Drive
The end of Snow & Ice also marked the end of the Town's participation in the Regional Food Drive for the Community Food Sharing Association. With the generous donations from residents, contributions from Kids Kampus, Oceaneering Canada, Paradise Physiotherapy, Royal Bank, and a big helping hand from Sobeys Paradise, the initiative was a huge success.
Over the ten-day Snow & Ice festival our community rose to the challenge and fully packed the 26-foot, 5 ton truck, donated by Ryder to support the food drive, with non-perishable food donations. All of the items were delivered to the Community Food Sharing Association on Monday, February 11. Thanks to all for your generosity and support.

| Paradise By-election Set for May |
The Town of Paradise will hold a by-election for the vacant Councillor position on Thursday, May 9 with the Advanced Polling scheduled for May 4. Nomination Day for the by-election will be April 11. The vacancy on Council was created when Paul Dinn was elected as Member of the House of Assembly for the District of Topsail-Paradise.

website about where to vote, registration status, FAQs, candidate resources, required forms, and much more.
The Town will be seeking Election Officials for the upcoming by-election. If you are interested in working as a Deputy Returning Office or Poll Clerk, please email your written application; including your name, phone number; address; position applied for and previous related work experience.

If you haven't yet paid your 2019 property tax bill, the deadline is next week. Residents are reminded that Tax Bill Payments are required by February 28, 2019. Any balances owing after those dates are charged interest for the month of February. If you haven't received your property tax bill, please

Municipal Awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments, talents, and milestones achieved by the outstanding residents and businesses who give so much to our Town.

Annual Donation Program Reminder

Are you in a community group or organization in the Town? If so, let them know they might be eligible for a donation from the Town.
Community groups and organizations can apply for a one-time donation to support their activities and programs. Groups are reminder that applications must be received by the end of March. Full program details and forms are available on the

Memorial's proposed Universal Transit Pass (U-Pass) is a discounted bus pass that would provide full-time students with unlimited access to all bus routes, with improved service to Memorial University campuses in St. John's and other locations of interest to students. The U-Pass vote for Memorial University students is next week, from February 26 - 29!
