As the country commemorates 100 years since the 19th Amendment, which legally gave women the right to vote in the U.S., was ratified, a USA Today list recognizes 10 influential Florida women whose contributions to society over the past century have changed the way Floridians, and the rest of the world, view women and their accomplishments. Congratulations to Palm Beach Civic Association Director The Honorable Nancy Brinker for recently being named one of Florida’s Women of the Century.
The Palm Beach Civic Association together with the Citizens Association of Palm Beach, and the Town planned to celebrate the 19th Amendment Centennial at an event rescheduled for November 2 – the evening before Election Day. Alternative plans are pending due to continuing COVID 19 restrictions. Stay tuned for an update!
