Kate Childrey "Buddy Bench" is dedicated in Lower School chapel
Kate Childrey, who served our community as a JK assistant, passed away in April of 2017. Although Kate's time at St. Christopher's was short, her impact was immense, as she shared kindness everywhere she went on our campus. On Tuesday, Feb. 5, family, friends, faculty and Lower School boys honored Kate's legacy of kindness by dedicating a "buddy bench" for the playground. READ MORE AND WATCH

Ms. Zhu's Chinese students ring in the Chinese New Year

This month Upper School Chinese students led a lively chapel service that included prayers read in both English and Chinese, a Chinese culture themed quiz game, a lesson in Chinese colloquialisms, and the hanging of the Chinese flag in the chapel to recognize Ms. Zhu and her home country as a part of our community.   READ MORE AND WATCH
Joint eighth grade French classes tour VMFA Congo Mask exhibit

St. Christopher's and St. Catherine's eighth grade French students have been studying French colonialism in West Africa. Touring the VMFA exhibit furthered their study of the subject.  READ MORE

The Beaux Ties perform mashup tune at Valentine's Day concert

Last week the Beaux Ties sang their annual Valentine's Day concert at St. Catherine's. One performance included solos from Seniors Cameron Lovings and Philip Maruri. WATCH

Mason Bates '95 wins Grammy Award for Best Opera Recording 


Bates, hailed as the most-performed composer of his generation, won for his work "The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs." Mason is the Honorary Chair of our Orchestrating Leadership campaign to give creativity a home on our campus.  READ MORE
