Dear Parents,
Stem Fair is coming up in April with a deadline of March 8th to sign up. Also, we love to see our great teachers here at Riverside nominated for Distinguished Teacher of the year. If you are interested in nominating a special teacher, the deadline for applications is Thursday, March 7th at 5pm.
Here are a few date reminders for the next few weeks:
- Feb 25: Start of Winters Afters Classes and the Gymnastics Unit in PE
- Feb 26: Your Child's Digital Life - Research Tools and Databases at School with Mrs. Browning (details below)
- Mar 4-8: Fruit & Veggie Challenge Week
- Mar 7: Deadline to submit a nomination for Distinguished Teacher
- Mar 8: Deadline to sign up for STEM Fair which will take place on April 9-10 (go to RIVPTA.ORG for more details)
A final note and request is about the parking situation around the school at pick-up. We know it's cold outside, but we ask that everyone please only park in a legitimate parking spot - whether it's in the school parking lot or along the side roads around school.
Please note that the front driveway pick up is only for Grades 3-5. Parents of children in grades K-2 are required to park elsewhere and meet their children at their dismissal door. For those in the driveway - you must stay in your car. Pick up is only from the right lane (no dangerous left lane pick ups please). And finally, please consider being more "green" by turning your car off while you wait.
This is for everyone's safety!
Have a good weekend.
