Greetings!
I'm working from home today and enjoying the first "snow day" of this winter season. I can't help but reflect on what is soon to be the end of my second year here at The Center.  I'm feeling tremendous gratitude as I type on a new laptop courtesy of a Kennebunk Savings Bank grant. This time last year I had to drive in challenging weather to work on an inefficient desktop. Our good fortune continued in 18' with a gift of property and the addition of Natalie, a wonderful new asset to The Center team.
The things that I am most grateful for are the things that are truly irreplaceable - the people in my life. The Center's membership is a community-minded, interesting group of people. They bring a lifetime of experience and wisdom that our greater community desperately needs. They rise to the occasion, whether it's operating a table at a fundraiser, or providing a ride to an elderly person that can no longer drive. Every day I feel honored to walk through the doors of our Center and have made it a personal goal to emulate the positive attitudes I witness here as I continue to age.
If you, or a family member or friend, has benefitted from The Center I ask that you consider a gift to our Annual Appeal. Or, if you are looking for an impactful, local nonprofit to support please consider us as we have been serving the greater community of the Kennebunk's for over 28 years! We are currently $14,000 away from our goal and need your help to end our fiscal year in the positive. If you haven't already sent in your Annual Appeal envelope, I ask that you do so, or visit our website and click the donate button, or stop by in person.
With exciting things on our horizon, we still need to sustain what we do every day and look to you for help. I wish you the happiest of holidays and I thank you for all that you do to support The Center!
     Best,   Pat Schwebler,  Executive Director

The Grief Support Space is sponsored by the Bibber Family and Bibber Memorial Chapel.  The Center is grateful for their support and Carol's leadership of this program that helps so many in need.
