Volume 2 Feb 2019
Easter will be the highest church attendance day so far this year, quickly followed by Mother's Day. Are you ready to get your community's attention?
Here are some ideas and links to other resources to help your church share the good news in new and impactful ways.
  • Determine your theme and develop photos, videos and artwork that can create excitement in March, April and May,
  • Create a pastor selfie video inviting the community to the church events.
  • These two special Sundays are ideal for a family photo booth backdrop or props at church.
  • Use Facebook Live to video "behind the scenes" teasers as you prepare for Easter or Mother's day.
  • Schedule texts, emails and social media posts -- in countdown style -- that introduce the details over a period of weeks.
  • Find and share stories of members' favorite Easter and Mother's Day traditions.
  • Encourage members to share the church's social media content with their friends.
  • Send a press release to community media contacts. If available, upload to community digital bulletin boards or Next Door websites.
  • Produce invite cards for members to hand out or send friends.
  • Brainstorm fun ways to use kids (with written permission) in your promotional efforts.
  • Invite families to make empty tomb cookies and discuss their significance.
  • Consider updating your Facebook header with Easter graphics, and change to Mother's Day design after April 21.
  • Discuss ways to obtain contact information from prospective guests, such as preregistration special events.
  • There are many church media websites with great Mom's Day videos for less than $20, or make your own with youngsters from church.
  • During Easter activities, remember to invite everyone back for Mother's Day.
