Friday Folders for Lakeview, Riverview and Valleyview

Valleyview School

Riverview School

Lakeview School

This Monday, February 25th, Valleyview will kick-off a new Plastic Recycling Challenge, sponsored by TREX.  Thanks to a Community Partnership with Denville Township's Green Sustainability Committee, staff and students can voluntarily recycle a number of items that are not part of our municipal collection, including zip-locs, bubble wrap, bags from cereal, bread, dry cleaners, and more.  Along with Lakeview and Riverview, we're excited to work with Denville Township and exceed the goal of 500 pounds of plastic, which otherwise would be discarded as trash.  Find out more at  Trex Recycling Programs  and look for updates soon!

With spring approaching, it's time to plan the Student Veggie and Wildlife Gardens!  Using donations of plastic containers from our teachers, Valleyview's students will assemble mini-greenhouses for starting seeds outdoors (winter sowing). This technique allows native plants, like milkweed, to get a head-start and will provide food and habitat for wildlife during summer and fall.  Please encourage your students to talk with Mrs. Stiles if they're interested in helping!
