Holiday Fun & Penny Wars!!!
Coming Up at Sherwood:
Penny Wars: Monday, November 26 - Tuesday, December 4

Penny Wars kick off on Monday! Spend some time having conversations with your kids about how they want to get involved in the project. It's a great chance for our kids to make a big impact by investing their time, sharing their talents or giving financially, so while we welcome larger donations from families, the real "win" is when students see how their involvement is an important part of supporting our community!

There are no prizes or parties at the end of this one; the idea of this project is that giving is its own reward.

Shop & Share is here!

Flyers about 9United's annual district-wide service project have been sent home! If you didn't see it, a copy of the flyer is right  here

In its 10th year, Shop & Share allows our students and families to make an incredible impact in our community now and throughout the year!

Last year, Sherwood raised almost $1,800 from our Penny Wars - and I know we can beat that number this year.
Have your child bring in change, dollar bills... which grade level will take home the bragging rights this year?

Attention all K - 3rd Parents...

WOW!  We have received an overwhelming amount of interest in the upcoming auditions for 101 Dalmatians! Far more than we ever anticipated!  Due to this, auditions are now FULL!  That is 50 K - 3rd graders signed up!  Unfortunately, we will not be adding any more spots for this production.  There are several reasons for this decision but mainly:
1. The safety of the kids comes first.  Having 50 kids under the age of 10 on stage and during rehearsals is a major undertaking.  We want to make this enjoyable and safe for all.
2. The capacity at Sherwood Elementary.  The stage is only so big and there are only so many seats available.  Again, we want this to be a positive experience for all of us.  And yes, we have looked into other options and at this time, they are not available.
Thank you for understanding!  We will plan for a larger cast next year!

NOTE:  If you are signed up for auditions and you child decides they no longer want to participate, PLEASE update your sign up genius to allow for another student to sign up!

Cost: $70 due at auditions
Schedule as follows:
Grades K-3 shows: 101 Dalmatians
Dec. 13. Auditions.  ALL SPOTS ARE FULL.  CHECK BACK TO SEE IF THERE HAS BEEN A CANCELLATION

March 7. Dress rehearsal. 6-8
March 8.  Performance during the school day
