Remembering Richard White


Our beloved past Board Member and longtime AMAC Member Richard White passed away suddenly on Thanksgiving Day. Richard worked for the Memphis Airport for over 20 years and was very active in AMAC and ACI. You can read his obituary here.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 29 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm with a private viewing for family and close friends from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The Kappa Alpha Psi ceremony will be at 6:00 pm at R.S. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home (2944 Walnut Grove Rd, Memphis, TN 38111).

The funeral will be held on Friday, November 30 at 11:00 am at Hope Church Memphis (8500 Walnut Grove Rd, Cordova, TN 38018) with the internment at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery (5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119). A repast will be held at Hope Church Memphis in Room 230 above the South Chapel.

U.S. Homeland Security Plans to Test Counter-Drone Systems

With new legislation opening the door for testing, evaluating and eventually deploying systems to mitigate threats from unmanned aircraft systems that can be purchased commercially, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) plans to begin evaluating related technologies and systems in 2019.
