TASC prays for Colorado Springs Police Officer Cem D üzel, shot in the line of duty, remains in critical condition

On the morning of Thursday, August 2, Officer Cem Düzel of the Colorado Springs Police Department and member of the Turkish American community, responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots near downtown Colorado Springs. The responding officers were ambushed on the scene by gunfire. Officer Düzel suffered life-threatening injuries, and remains in the hospital today in critical condition.

The Colorado Springs community held a vigil for Officer Düzel.

TASC and the Turkish American community across the nation prays for Officer Düzel, his family, and the Colorado Springs Police Department.
