The Tocqueville Society & Keel Club Create Lasting Difference
 
The United Way Tocqueville Society was formed in March 1984. The society is named after renowned French political philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville who admired three elements in North American society: liberty, equality and the spirit of neighbor helping neighbor. To be part of the United Way of Charlotte County Tocqueville Society, our contributors make exceptional gifts of $10,000 or more.  
 
The Keel Club recognizes generous supporters who contribute at six levels:
Admiral $5,000+
Commodore $2,500+
Captain $1,500+
Commander $1,000+
Lieutenant $750+
Midshipman $500+  
 
Leadership Celebration 
Tocqueville Society and Keel Club members will be honored at an exclusive, invitation-only event at Babcock Ranch in the vibrant Founder's Square on April 5, 2019.  If your total contribution is $500+ during our UWCC fiscal year (April 2018-March 2019) and received by March 1, 2019, look for your invitation in the mail early March. Inaugural 2019-20 Campaign Cabinet  
This year, we are launching a 2019-2020 Campaign Cabinet, to be comprised of our local community leaders. We invite you to apply to join our Inaugural Campaign Cabinet. This highly esteemed Cabinet will be recognized throughout our community , and you have the distinct honor of being nominated as one of the first-ever United Way of Charlotte County Campaign Cabinet members. The Campaign Cabinet's goal is to increase financial and volunteer resources necessary to support and grow our mission to eliminate poverty.  Deadline to apply is 3/31/19. Joyce L. Tilden
Finance Assistant
SPOTLIGHT   

We welcome Joyce L. Tilden to our United Way of Charlotte County office staff as a part-time Finance Assistant!
 
Joyce was born and raised in Southern California. She took a twenty-year detour to New Jersey prior to retirement from AT&T/Lucent Technologies. She held various senior level management positions in her 30-year career, retiring to Florida in 2002. Retirement brought many fulfilling volunteer opportunities in her community and she continues to enjoy "giving back."  She has a daughter and son, both married with eight precious grandchildren.
