District seeks your opinion as it plans calendar for 2019-2020
The Ray-Pec School District Calendar Committee is currently constructing a draft calendar for the 2019-2020 school year. 

The link below takes you to a brief survey asking for input on various calendar topics.

The  survey  link will be active until Dec. 17. We greatly appreciate your input in this important process. This information will help the committee propose a calendar that supports the needs of students, staff, and parents.

District revises 2018-2019 calendar
Snow make-up days will be Feb. 19 and March 25
The  calendar for the 2018-2019 school year is revised to show snow make-up days. Students will now attend school on Feb. 19 and March 25 to make up for the snow days on Nov. 26 and 27.

The calendar includes one more possible make-up day for inclement weather on April 22. 

The last day of school is an early release on May 22. Any additional make-up dates will be added to the end of the school year.

For winter break, students will be dismissed early on Dec. 21. Classes are not in session through Jan. 4. School resumes on Jan. 7, 2019. 

School Board candidate filing information
Filing period begins at 8 a.m. Dec. 11
The Raymore-Peculiar School District invites qualified persons interested in running for a position on the School Board to file to be a candidate in the April 2, 2019 election. Interested persons may file at the Administrative Services Center, located at 21005 S. School Rd., Peculiar, MO 64078.

Filing will begin at 8 a.m. Dec. 11, 2018, and will continue during the district's regular business hours, which are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Filing will not occur on days that the school district's offices are closed due to inclement weather. Filing will not occur on the following holidays when the school district's offices are closed: Dec. 24 and 25, 2018 and Jan. 1, 2019. Filing will end at 5 p.m. Jan. 15, 2019.

There are two (2) positions available with three-year terms. Board members whose terms expire in 2019 are Susan Edmonsond and Bill Lowe.
