February is Black History Month, and in Frederick County we value our increasingly diverse community. Black businessmen and women have long contributed to the economic vitality of Frederick County, and the 2016 U.S. Census reported that the number of black-owned businesses continue to rise. That's why OED is dedicated to supporting diversity in Frederick County, especially when it comes to business. The  Frederick County Minority Business Vision holds monthly networking events to encourage and support minority and women-owned businesses. At the end of the month we'll welcome the 3rd  class of the Frederick County Minority Business Leaders Program, designed to inspire, develop and grow current and future minority business leaders of Frederick County. We also have created a  Minority Owned Business Directory  that highlights our minority business community - if you would like to be added to the directory please send an email to  [email protected] .
