Our Alumni return on All Saints Day, and give insights into their Catholic high
school experiences to our current students.
Greetings from Mr. Gault

The students of The De La Salle School were pleased to be the lectors, altar servers and gift bearers, at the parish 12:10 PM Mass on Thursday, 1 November in celebration of the Feast of All Saints. This year the celebration was enhanced by the more than 25 alumni of The De La Salle School who joined us for Mass and who came back to school to catch up with one another over lunch. These young high school students then spoke at an assembly, informing their younger Lasallian brothers about life as a student in a Catholic high school and what current students can look forward to as they strive to accomplish their dreams and goals. Following their presentation, all assembled in the new designated play area for some recreational activities. It was an amazing day of fellowship and camaraderie.

All of the alumni are invited back for Study Hall on Monday evenings from 5-8 PM, under the guidance of our Graduate Support Director, Mr. Kevin Rall. Students are provided with an opportunity for mentoring, tutoring and group study. Like all good Lasallians socialization is an important component of the program, so we make sure to provide them with a light supper and an opportunity for some recreation as well.

The challenge for our graduates continues to be the financial assistance they need in order to continue their education at a Catholic high school.   Unfortunately, scholarships are very limited. As part of the efforts of our Development Office and Graduate Support Program, the search for benefactors that are willing to help fund a portion of the school tuition for our alumni has become a vital part the mission here at The De La Salle School. Please consider a gift of hope by becoming a benefactor for the Graduate Support Program.

As we move forward with the school year, be assured of our continued efforts to provide all our graduates as well as the young men of The De La Salle School with our best efforts and nurturing, so that he knows that he is a unique and talented creation of a loving God and a Lasallian community who will support his efforts to achieve his dreams.

Wishing all a very blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!
