Highlights of the survey:
  • Everyone loved Ryan and his classes
  • Second favorite was the demo group coaching
  • Overall event experience:  Over 93% of respondents rated the event Good or Excellent
  • The hotel food was rated very low and we are passing that information back to the Ambassador.

Announcement from Scarborough Chorus: After many hours of discussion and careful consideration, our members have decided that we will be relinquishing our charter and leaving Sweet Adelines  Over our 62 years we have built many memories and long-term friendships which we will continue to enjoy at other barbershop events. What a fun fall it has been!

The Circle of Harmony would like to thank our Region 16 sisters for the extraordinary gifts of love that helped us on our journey to St. Louis for our first performance at International. We had the most wonderful experience that none of us shall ever forget!

Our Front Row began the last leg of the build-up to International with a wonderful coaching session at our Fall Retreat with Erin.

What a blast it was!  A keepsake photo of the Circle of Harmony minutes after our performance in St. Louis!
St. Louis Schmoozin... A very fun impromptu meeting of some of our Circle of Harmony members with Lori Lyford and Ryan Heller!

And back to reality.... What great fun 11 of us had at Fall Music School with the amazing Ryan Heller! Here we are at the banquet on Saturday Night!

And here is our very own SAOY Sheila McKenzie at the presentation of her SAOY pin at the banquet!
Save the date!
The Circle of Harmony has moved our pre-holiday show from November to Saturday, March 23, 2019. Come out and join us as we share our love of singing and ring in Spring!

Wow! What an honour and thrill to be chosen as the Region 16 "demo" chorus, to work with Ryan Heller at our music school in Kingston this year! Thank you, Ryan for being such an inspiration, and for sharing your experience in such a colourful way. We learned so much, and we're are already busy incorporating some of these vocal gems into our rehearsals.
In addition to our Saturday demo and evening performance, YHC had 2 of our very own members who conducted round table discussions on Friday evening: Meaghan DeClerq and Jennifer Febel. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us in these fun and interactive sessions

We are thrilled to announce that North Metro's A Cappella Challenge for youth is underway once again. It is time to start planning your audition submission!
Last year's event was a huge success with groups from across Ontario participating in the inaugural event. With representation from a cappella groups with as few as four members to over 30 members, incredible talent crossed the stage in an evening of fun, high quality vocals, and comradery. The winning group, JAMME, hailed from Etobicoke School of the Arts.
The purpose of the A Cappella Challenge is to promote a cappella singing in our young people and give them a forum to share their talents with one another and with a grateful audience. As they perform alongside North Metro Chorus, some of these young people will hear the a cappella sounds of Barbershop for the first time. What a wonderful way to introduce young women and young men to this fulfilling hobby of ours.
If you are part of a youth choral group, work with a youth choral group, or know of a youth choral group who might be interested in the A Cappella Challenge, please share the link to our website with them (www.youthacappellachallenge.wordpress.com ). On-line auditions are due by November 30, 2018.
Please keep an eye on the website for ticket availability in December. We would love to have you join us in the audience on February 9, 2019 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.
If you'd like further information, please feel free to contact us.
