Calling all Young GIS Professionals!
Submit your application to URISA's Vanguard Cabinet by December 12
URISA members who are
35 years old or younger are encouraged to apply for membership to the VC. Each year, 5-6 young professionals will be selected by the Steering Committee to serve a 2-year term. Not only is membership in the Vanguard Cabinet a way to develop leadership skills, it also provides direct access to leaders in the field and abundant opportunities to contribute and get noticed.
In recognition of their service, each VC member is offered a free GIS-Pro conference registration during their term. Additionally, one VC member will be chosen as the URISA Young Professional of the Year and will be awarded free tuition to the
URISA GIS Leadership Academy.
The Vanguard Cabinet is an active group. Are you able to commit 10-20 hours per month (2+ hours/week) to VC activities? If you're ready to step up and contribute as a part of this dynamic group of young GIS professionals, submit
