With the tax law changes that were implemented last December, many are still trying to figure out what it ultimately means for everyone, including the government's budget deficit. While the debate rages on about the ultimate effect of this tax bill, the best answer is that we won't really know the full effects for several years, both positive and negative. There is, however, some certainty as it relates to small business owners. Queen's Career Apprenticeship: Kingston 
   
Kingston EcDev is pleased to announce that applications are being accepted from local businesses for Queen's Career Apprenticeship: Kingston.  This privately funded program, piloted in 2018 with six local companies has expanded to offer 35 Kingston businesses the opportunity to access up to four months of funding towards a one year contract for the hire of a new graduate.  The program strives to retain talents for the Queen's University Faculty of Arts & Humanities by connecting local employers.  Program founder Alan Rottenberg, general partner of the William Harris Venture has generously contributed once again to this Kingston based opportunity.

Interested businesses are encourage to contact Dajana Turkovic as soon as possible.  An information session will be held at the Delta Hotels on Tuesday, November 27, from 4:00pm-6:00pm to meet Alan Rottenberg, representatives from Queen's, Kingston EcDev and past participants.  To register to the reception,  Click Here
