Principal's Message
Hello FUHS Families! I realize it's the middle of the week, but I wanted to still share out some of our news from last weeks' activities! There have been lots of exciting things happening at FUHS! We began with celebrating our Counselors and Guidance Technicians this week! It was National Counselors Week! We are so appreciative of all they do for our students and all of the time and effort they put into making sure our students are taken care of and ready to graduate.
ROP Recognition
Every year our programs being offered through the North Orange County Regional Occupation Center get recognized by our School Board. This year our American Sign Language Program received recognition. Thank you Ms. Leos and her students for their amazing language program!
BEAST & The Leon Owens Foundation
We are very fortunate to have such great community partners in the Leon Owens Foundation. They organized a fundraiser luncheon at the Anaheim White House Restaurant for our BEAST Program! We are very appreciative of all they have done!
LCAP Survey
The LCAP is a tool for local educational agencies to set goals, plan actions, and leverage resources to meet those goals to improve student outcomes. Our school district's information on this plan is located on their website. To look for information provided by the state, please click here. Every year the state requests that we put out a survey to all of our stakeholders: students, staff and parents. We are hoping for a great turn out of parent responses. Please follow this link to take the survey: http://lcap.fjuhsd-2019-parent-survey.sgizmo.com/s3/

The survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Your input is greatly appreciated! The last day the survey will be available is Feb. 15th, so please fill it out now!

Thank you Dr. Posthuma for this week's athletic update!

Week of Feb. 4-8:

First of all, I want to thank all of you for supporting Fullerton Athletics this year. There have been many highlights! With more to come. We are in a transition week as the winter sports season ends and the spring season begins.

We had two big stories this week. First, our boys soccer team began their playoff run with a 4-0 win over Savanna HS. Next, on Saturday, Feb. 9, the visiting Mustangs from Salesian HS of Los Angeles traveled to Fullerton HS to play our Indians. The game was tremendous! Salesian scored on a free kick; the ball just glanced out of our goalie's outstretched hand for a score. Fullerton countered with an offensive flurry, several shots hit the crossbar and post, but none went into the goal. Salesian ended Fullerton's season with a 1-0 victory. In spite of this disappointing loss, the boys have much to be proud of! They ended the season with a 19-3-2 record! The varsity and JV teams both clinched Freeway League titles! The boys played great! We can't wait till next year.

The second story is about out wrestling team. We had 8 wrestlers compete in the CIF Individual Finals on Friday, Feb. 8. The boys wrestled well! There were two that advanced to the final round on Saturday, Feb. 9. Isaul Castaneda and Carlos Pena did their best, but came up a bit short. Their day ended after the 5th round of wrestling! Our wrestling season is over, but again the team had an incredible year! The varsity took 2nd place in league and the JV team were league champions!

The spring sports season began Saturday, Feb. 9 with baseball and softball games. Our FUHS Athletics website is updated regularly with stories, information, scores and photos. Take a look at Fullertonindiansathletics.com . Go Indians!
