We have been alerted by Central Paving that the construction on Cole Road between Franklin and Overland will result in Cole Road being completely shut down at Hummel and Gratz while they install a box culvert, irrigation pipe, and utility crossings.
Cole Road will be completely closed in that area from Monday, January 21st to Friday, February 1st. Please plan accordingly!

Faculty and Staff can nominate any student they have witnessed demonstrating the BK Way attributes of Faith, Safe and Caring Place, Academic Excellence, Activities, Honor, Generosity, Community, and Partnership. Bishop Kelly Students can nominate Faculty and Staff who they feel demonstrate these qualities.
Congratulations to this week's Knights of the Week!
Jake Senn - Safe and Caring Place
Even though I do not have Jake as one of my students, I see him in the mornings helping out in the Library. Jake displays kindness and caring for others. He always asks how I am doing and shows genuine interest in how my day is going. He is also very kind and friendly to anyone who walks in the library.
Alex Bloom - Academic Excellence
Alex Bloom does a great job in class everyday. He clearly shows he is thinking about the material by responding to prompts and asking lots of questions. He participates willingly in each activity. Alex's maturity is a beacon for all the other students and his attitude changes the entire atmosphere of the class because it is clear by his confidence and effort he is here to learn and become a better person.
Tatum Seastrand - Activities
Tatum is an invaluable member of the yearbook staff. She works tirelessly to make sure pages are complete and look good. She is willing to put in long hours and never shies away from a difficult task, including teaching herself tough Photoshop skills.
Eric Skyer - Honor
Erik is honest, hardworking and kind to everyone he meets. Even though he has a rigorous schedule, he takes the time to hold doors for people and greet them with a smile. He is not afraid to ask questions and speak up for himself and others. Erik definitely models the BK way on a daily basis. I am so proud of him.
Madame Genevieve Ysursa - Safe and Caring Place
- Madame is always patient with everyone. She really tries to help everyone understand things, no matter what.
- She is always patient when teaching. It would be hard to dislike her because she is so positive and tries to understand the student's feelings.
- Madame is always patient with everyone, always helping others, and brightening up people’s day.
- She make an effort to get to know the students. She creates a fun atmosphere and really engages everyone.

Just in Time Information - New Student Information Knight is Monday, January 28th!
New Student Information Knight is a fun and informative evening for families who are considering Bishop Kelly for the 2019/2020 school year.
The night begins in the Carley Athletic Center with a brief presentation about our school. From there, prospective students and their parents
will be introduced to current seniors, who lead small group tours of the school. On the tour, participants will have the opportunity to hear from teachers in each department.
The evening concludes with an activity fair, where students can learn about the many ways to get involved at BK. Many of our activities and athletic teams will have sign-ups for spring and summer participation at the activity fair.
Please invite any families you know who are considering Bishop Kelly for next fall to attend Information Knight!

Our BK Theatre Arts department is putting on a musical this spring and we need help locating some props, costumes, and set pieces. We are looking for:

- A 50's style jukebox - does not need to work - again, if you know of one to loan, we will take such good care of it!
- 50's style clothing: circle skirts, ladies cardigan sweaters, wedding dresses, your grandmother's church clothes and hats, blue suede shoes!
If you have or know of a source for any of these items to donate (or loan) please contact Jenny Sternling:
jsternling@bk.org
Thank you!
