We received a special email updated from one of our Lanai Lions, Meeko, now named Koa 'Imiloa, who was adopted earlier this year. Here are some of the highlights.
"I rarely go outside because my new family is worried I will get lost in the unfamiliar neighborhood. When I do go out, they put me in a harness with a long leash. My adopted brother, Nugget, helps show me around the yard when I go out."
"Nancy says that I am growing bigger, but it doesn't feel like it to me. I can still run around and get behind and under things that Nugget can't. The two of us do enjoy playing together like wrestling and chasing each other around the house. My favorite time, though is lap time when my family is watching TV. Nugget and I take turns sitting on Nancy and Tom's laps β sometimes, both of us on the same lap! Fitzwilliam usually just sits on the back of the couch, but when we are out of the room, I've noticed he will go over to Nancy's lap. He is pretty shy, but he and I get along quite well now."
"Early this month, Nancy went on a camping trip with a group of Boy Scout leaders, and when she came home, we all tried to help her pack up and put away her sleeping bag. However, I don't thing she fully appreciated our help."
We miss you Koa 'Imiloa, but so happy you have a forever home and nightly cuddles. Read more about adopting a Lanai Lion
