Weekend Lineup
Let's Celebrate Polka at Sefcik Hall
Join us for the 4th Annual Polka Month dance on Jan. 26, sponsored by Texas Polka News. The Praha Brothers will provide the music at historic Sefcik Hall in Seaton. Special guest performers will be dance hall owner Alice Sulak and Jerry Haisler. Masters of Ceremony will be Alfred Vrazel and Danny Zapletal. The evening will raise funds for the International Polka Association. Bring an item for the silent auction - maybe you got something for Christmas you're not that crazy about. Bring it on; we won't tell!

On Sunday, plan to get a plate of fried gizzards and enjoy the music of THREE bands at the 32nd Annual El Campo Polka Fest at Taiton Community Center. Dance to Red Ravens, Majek Orchestra, and Fritz Hodde & Fab 6.

Also this weekend: Saturday - Glen Collins & The Alibis in Austin. ..Jeff Woolsey & Rocky King in Brenham...La Recolte in Houston. Sunday - Glen Collins & The Alibis in Elgin...Charles & Fab 4 in Geronimo...Jodie Mikula in Penelope...Liz Talley & Dusty Spur in Houston.

Looking ahead to next week: Monday - Central Texas Accordion Association Meeting and jam in Austin...Tuesday - San Antonio Accordion Association featuring Terry Cavanagh.

Dance, dance, dance, and Polka On!

WEEKLY LAUGH
A doctor was performing rounds at the hospital one morning and while checking up on a man he asked, "So how's your breakfast this morning?"

"It's very good except for the Kentucky jelly. I can't seem to get used to the taste," the patient replied.

The doctor then asked to see the jelly and the patient produced a foil packet labeled 'KY Jelly.'
