On Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Noon, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum and AT&T will present a discussion,
"Communications in Times of Crisis," in the Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home. The discussion will be moderated by Library Director Paul Sparrow and will include Fred Hinrichsen of AT&T's FirstNet and local officials -- including Dutchess County Undersheriff Kirk Imperati. Panelists will discuss how the role of first responders has changed since FDR's day, and how technology can help make both the community and first responders safer. The public program will be followed by training sessions for first responders from the region presented by Dutchess County Goverment's ThinkDIFFERENTLY initiative.
AT&T's support grows out of the company's longstanding commitment to supporting first responders and affiliated organizations in New York and across the country. Recently, AT&T was awarded the opportunity to build out and maintain FirstNet, the nation's first mobile broadband network dedicated to America's first responders, including police officers, firefighters and emergency medical services personnel. AT&T is dedicated to giving first responders and the public safety community additional tools to support them in helping to save lives.
This is a free public event but registration is required.
