New Supporter RCTV Membership Level!

RCTV is offering a new "Supporter" Membership Level.

The Supporter level is designed for those who want to help underwrite the great classes, programming and youth initiatives RCTV and WXIR do, and who would like to be able to take classes and workshops at the RCTV Member rate, but who do not need access to RCTV's TV studio, editing lab or radio station, and who have no need to borrow equipment.

This is a great way to have access to lower rates on classes and workshops and to show your support for
all that RCTV does within the community.

In 2019: Vimeo or Youtube?

There's little question that video gets a lot of attention and bandwidth in 2019, but many are wondering what the best hosting option is. There's no one right answer. Your choice will depend on your goals.

After having a discussion with a friend on why I post to Vimeo rather than Youtube, I decided to investigate whether my choice really still made sense in 2019, the way it did when I started uploading six years ago. I initially made that choice based on preference: I see Vimeo as being more professional.

But maybe that's no longer a viable reason. I decided to investigate the pros and cons of each. Some of my comments are based on my own experience, and some are based on research across reputable sites.
