Arete Prep Athletics will host our seasonal sports awards on Friday 11/16 in the Arete Marley Gymnasium. Middle School Awards will be from 5:30-6:30pm, followed by a light appetizer and dessert intermission for both groups. High School Awards will then follow from 7:00-8:00pm. There is a formal dress code for all student athletes. 

Help us recognize and reflect on a great fall season in Charger Athletics! We hope to see you there!

Adam Whitehead - Junior - Cross Country 
Adam placed third in the AIA DIV State Championships on Saturday at Cave Creek Golf Course with a time of 16:19. Next up for Adam, will be racing in the NXR Southwest Regionals in Casa Grande on 11/17.

Charger Cross Country State Meet Recap

The Arete Prep Cross Country team competed in the AIA Division 4 Championships over the weekend at Cave Creek Golf Course. After qualifying for the first time as a team, the boys took 18th place, led by Adam Whitehead's 3rd place finish. Whitehead crossed the finish line in 16:19, followed by Sophomore Wes Lannuier coming in 83rd with a time of 18:59. In the girls race, Daniela Iniguez was the top Charger finisher, finishing 70th in a time of 24:04. Bryn Hager came in at 24:57, and Sophomore Sara Tollen came in at 25:53. Great season Chargers and congratulations on state qualification! Good luck to Adam Whitehead, as next weekend he will race in the NXR Southwest Regional at Grande Sports World in Casa Grande.

All fall athletes should have returned school issued uniforms and equipment at this time. If you have not, please turn everything into the athletic office ASAP!

REGISTRATION FOR A SPORT


1. Complete the Athletic Online Enrollment. (Must be completed by a parent/guardian.) 

2. Every athlete must submit a physical on the approved AIA Physical Forms. Physicals are good for 12 months and must be resubmitted annually. 

3. Submit the athletic fee. All middle school sports (including archery) are $250. All high school sports are $290. Select Online Payment to pay by debit/credit card online, or you may submit cash, check, or money to the front office. 

4. (HS ONLY) If not previously completed, every high school athlete must complete the Brainbook Concussion Course. The AIA will notify Arete electronically once the student has successfully completed the course. High school athletes are required to complete this course only once during their high school career. 

All items must be completed and turned in before your student may participate in their sport.
