The multi-stakeholder Commission to Advance Next-Generation 9-1-1 Across Maryland formally convened this week, and quickly targeted the challenges lying ahead. Bringing this critical service improvement to every corner of Maryland is a MACo priority, and the state agencies, legislators, and emergency professionals seated as Commission members joined in that goal. The Commission will turn around findings for both the 2019 and 2020 legislative sessions, to set the course for Maryland's next essential steps with 9-1-1 emergency service.
