National School Walkout Day
writing letters
Students took time to write thoughtful letters
On March 14, Connelly participated in the National School Walkout. It was inspiring to see our students joining together in prayer, writing encouraging notes and letters with much thought, talking about important issues while presenting both sides, and wearing orange ribbons to show solidarity. The 17-minute walkout was filled with a very thoughtful, respectful, and meaningful demonstration led by the students, who truly lived up to Connelly's motto of leading, serving, and inspiring! We are proud of our Connelly girls!
Practice SAT and ACT
ACT or SAT
The Tri-School Counseling Departments are offering students an opportunity to take a Practice SAT and ACT at Servite High School. Taking full-length practice tests under timed conditions is essential to being ready for the official test. A proctored practice exam will help students build testing endurance and give you a real-time snapshot of their testing performance. The Practice SAT will be administered on March 17 and the Practice ACT will be held on April 21. The donation of $25 will support the counseling departments. To register, contact Kristi Orodpour at (949) 264-9151 or register at https://www.revolutionprep.com/partners/practice-exams/school/82/. More information is provided on the flyers.

Introducing the Cornelia Emergency Prayer Fund
praying hands
Mother Connelly prays that we have "a love full of action."  We have all learned that to be part of this exceptional community is a true blessing. There are times in the lives of our students that a significant family emergency has  profound effects on their school day. We would  like to create a group of prayer and funding angels to cover those expenses that may come for a family in great need. If you would like to join this prayer fund, please email Cheri Wood, the Head of School directly with your contact email. This is how it will work if you choose to join.

When we have a need, Mrs. Wood will launch an email for prayers and donations. These donations would only be to cover extra expenses for our girls like sport fees, uniform needs, retreats, lunches, graduation expenses & dresses, books, and other extra-curricular expenses for activities that enhance the life of our girls. She will keep the name of those in need confidential, but let the Cornelia Emergency Prayer Fund members know that prayers are needed for a family in this community, and the exact monetary amount needed to help that student. Prayer Fund members may choose each time whether or not it is a good time for them to give, and how much they may have at that time to give.

If you would like to receive these emails, please let Cheri Wood know via email. It will be wonderful to have a way to help our own in times of great need and crisis. Thank you for your consideration.

Blessings,
Cheri L. Wood
