Margo Kennedy Memorial Scholarship Announced |
|
The Margo Kennedy Memorial Scholarship was announced at the ATHENA Award Luncheon on Wednesday, November 7.
The scholarship(s) will be for a non-traditional female student, age 25 or older, from Livingston County to attend Heartland Community College.
Students can apply for the scholarship in the spring via the Heartland Community College Foundation scholarship application. The chamber will work with the foundation to award the scholarship(s) for the next school year.
An advance drive was done with past ATHENA award recipients and raised more than $2,100.
Following is the information to make a donation to the Margo Kennedy Memorial Scholarship. All donations are tax deductible.

Jolly Trolley Christmas Kick-Off Nov 9 & 10 |

Visit downtown Pontiac for the Jolly Trolley's Retail Christmas kick-off on Friday, November 9 and 10. Check out downtown retailers as they gear up for the holiday season.
On Saturday, November 10 is a vendor and craft show, window contest, raffles, games, make and take crafts, performances from local bands, choirs and amazing local talent. There will also be music, food trucks, a pie contest and
live reindeer
too! The Santa House will be brought down to the square for this weekend and kids can write letters to Santa.
The Trolley will be parked on the square on Saturday from noon to 5:00 pm to collect nonperishable food items and toys for distribution to local families in need (through the school).
